Westland Traditional Cottage near Kenmare in County Kerry, Ireland is located on a 20 acre farm overlooking beautiful views of the Kenmare Bay and the rugged Caha Mountains, ten miles from Kenmare Town, on the Beara Peninsula route R571. The property is centrally located for touring the Ring of Beara, Ring of Kerry, the Dingle and Bantry Peninsulas. Tuosist, located between Kenmare and the West Cork border, is renowned for its magnificent scenery. This spectacular area, also known as the ‘Gateway to West Cork’ is a walker’s haven. To name one, The Kerry Way has many fine walking trails for you to explore. There are numerous great fishing spots to choose from including Clonee Lake and Kenmare Bay. In the evening the nearby towns and villages provide plenty of choice for entertainment.
The surrounding countryside has so much to offer from spectacular sea views to wild rugged mountains, unspoiled, untouched, and in peaceful settings. Waterfalls, woodlands, Celtic stone circles, pebble beaches, and lush green valleys. Little colourful rural villages dotted along the coastline.
From the cottage, restaurants and traditional country pubs are a radius of five minutes to 15 minute drive. The local Post Office/Shop is a five minute walk. The seashore is a two minute walk where it is quite safe to swim and the waters are crystal clear.
Nearby Kenmare, a heritage town, won the prestigious title 'Tidiest town in Ireland' award in 2000. It has award winning restaurants and charming little quaint shops. Golf courses, seafari, cycling, pony trekking, lace making and pubs. A car is essential to fully explore all this lovely part of County Kerry has to offer guests.
Westland Traditional Stone Cottage in Ardea West, near Tuosist in County Kerry, Ireland is a three bedroom property to accommodate up to six guests, four adults and two children. This traditional stone cottage, dating from the 1700’s, has been restored to its former glory and retains the genuine character of bygone days. The property has been awarded three stars.

Westland Traditional Cottage is situated at Ardea West, near Tuosist in County Kerry, Ireland. From Kenmare town drive along the R571 for 16km. follow signs for Westland Holiday Homes. After 16km, on the right side of road, is the Lake House Pub & Restaurant. After passing this drive for approx 2km - Westland Holiday Home sign is on the second road after the Lake House Pub. Drive down this road for 3km. Westland Traditional Cottage is on the left side of the road. Further details available from the property owner upon confirmation of the booking.
