Newcastle upon Tyne is fifteen miles away with all amenities including the vibrant atmosphere of Quayside, theatres, shops, bars and restaurants.
An excellent base to explore Northumberland's Roman sites, wonderful unspoilt countryside, miles of sandy beaches with castles and the Island of Lindisfarne. Famous Alnwick Gardens and many National Trust properties are also within easy reach. A car is essential to fully explore this lovely area.
