Property Location: Villa Mimosa in France is ideally located nestled in fourteen acres of meadows and farmland in a stunning riverside setting. Secluded and peaceful, yet only ten minutes from the shops of Montignac, the pre-historic Lascaux caves and 24km from medieval Sarlat. It has wonderful views of lush cornfields, towering poplar trees and open countryside. Guests are welcome to fish on 450 meters of private river frontage.

Distance from town: Villa Mimosa is only 2km from the pretty town of Montignac, which has two supermarkets, shops, bakeries, banks, a wide choice of restaurants, even a cinema and tennis court.

Area activities: Guests are guaranteed peace and relaxation on this fourteen acre estate, with private fishing on your doorstep, ideally situated for exploring the prehistoric sites, troglodyte caves and villages, magnificent castles and gardens and some of France's most beautiful villages nearby. A car is essential to fully explore this lovely area of France.

The shared outdoor 10m x 4m swimming pool, fenced and alarmed, available in the summer months, is 25m away and the cornfields are beyond the garden. Behind the Villa is a courtyard; a large covered terrace; a covered play area with table tennis, an outdoor play area with a swing, climbing frame and football net.

Brive/Souillac 40 mins.

To reach Villa Mimosa at Aubas in France, from Bordeaux take the motorway A89 in the direction Limoges/Brive La Gaillard, A89/E70 towards Limoges, Brive-La-Gaillarde, Clermont-Ferrand. Come off the motorway at Junction 17 (for Thenon) which is a toll gate. You must stay on the far right. Proceed through the toll gate down to the roundabout.

Take the second exit, D6089 signposted Sarlat, Brive-La-Gaillarde, Le Landin, Montignac, Les Eyzies. After about three miles, you come to a set of traffic lights. Turn right, you will pass the Condat paper factory on your left. Follow signs for Montignac, you will now be on the D704. Carry on this road for about five miles. The Vezere River will be on your left. Eventually you will see the rock face of the valley on your right, a small advertising sign for Intermarche, then a signpost for Le Port D’ Aubas. There is a left turn for a bridge across the Vezere River to Aubas. DO NOT GO on the bridge, carry on. The next turning on the left is Le Four a Sel. The closest Airport is Brive/Souillac, served by Cityjet from London City Aiport, it is just 40 minutes away from Aubas. Limoges and Bergerac Airport is 1hr 30 minutes and Bordeaux Airport is 1hr 45 minutes.
