Viking Cottage is situated in Glenuig in Highland Scotland, not far from the Road-to-the-Isles, in the historic Moidart area. The beautiful village of Glenuig, overlooks the Sound of Arisaig, a small community close to Bonnie Prince Charlie’s first landing place. Viking Cottage is the ideal spot for a restful, peaceful retreat, only a short walk to Samalaman Beach with its white sands and views across to the Small Isles.
Arisaig, Mallaig and Acharacle are all within easy reach, and the drive from Fort William takes only forty minutes.
Nearby activities include walking, cycling, fishing, boating, wildlife and bird watching. There are frequent sightings of wildlife including otters, deer, eagles and even the occasional porpoise. Glenuig Hall is just round the corner and has live music and arts events on a regular basis. There is also a lunchtime cafe for home baking, as well as a lively bar for occasional evenings out. A car is essential at Viking Cottage.

Viking Cottage in Glenuig, Moidart is a forty minute scenic drive from Fort William. From Fort William take the Mallaig Road, turning left after 28 miles at the Lochailort Inn. Turn off to the right after eight miles, just after Glenuig Bay. The house is to the right of the Glenuig Inn. From Glasgow take the A82 to Fort William and then follow directions as above.
