There are many superb golf courses within easy reach, 15-30mins drive from the gite. Canoe and kayak hire is also available locally.
Ty Mari is only a few minutes drive from Quistinic, a good sized village with the usual compliment of small shops and bars and only thirty minutes to the clean and sandy southern Brittany beaches. There are many golf courses in the area and many historical sites to visit. Also close by is the Poul Fetan - the village of other times, which is a recreation of how past life in Brittany operated with locals in traditional costume going about their daily life as it would have been in centuries past. A car is essential to fully explore all this lovely area of Brittany has to offer.
Ty Mari in Quistinic, Brittany, France is a charming, fully equipped two bedroom property to accommodate up to four guests, plus a baby. This lovely detached, traditional stone cottage has been renovated to a very high standard.
The ground floor is open plan with well equipped kitchen including fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, hob and dishwasher. The living area is very comfortable and has Satellite TV and DVD player. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double and a twin, both have ensuite bath/shower rooms.
Outside there is a garden, garden furniture, BBQ, 12 x 5 heated outdoor swimming pool with separate toddler's pool, a large children's play area with sandpit, swings, play equipment and a boules court.
Rennes.
To reach Ty Mari in Brittany, France, depending on which port you are coming from you need to head for Rennes, when approaching Rennes you need to follow signs for Lorient, Quimper, you will then exit Rennes on the N.24 which is a dual carriageway. Your exit junction is now approximately 1 hour from Rennes. You need to exit at Gare de Baud, Bubry, Quistinic. This is the junction after the Baud exit. When you exit you will arrive at a T-Junction, turn right here and almost immediately right following signs for Quistinic, Bubry. You again come to a T-Junction which is the D3. Turn left here towards Bubry. Continue on the D3 towards Bubry passing through Pont-Augan and over the River Blavet, your exit is approximately 3 miles from the River Blavet. Keep looking for the crossroads where Quistinic is signposted left and Melrand (village de l’an mil) is signposted right, turn right here and right again after approx. 100 metres, you are now on the approach road for Talhouet Kerquere which is approx. ½ mile along this road, the sign post for Talhouet Kerquere is visible only when travelling in the opposite direction so pay careful attention, There is an access road which arrives in the courtyard of Talhouet Kerquere.
