The Villa On Avenue Rene Cassin in the South of France is situated on the outskirts of the village of Herepian, a few minutes equidistant from the spa town of Lamalou-Les-Bains to the west and the busy town of Bedarieux to the east.
Ideally situated on the edge of the beautiful Languedoc Regional Park, the surrounding area is the largest and most prolific wine producing area of France with many towns and villages of interest to the lovers of wine and all things French.
The mountains, lakes, the Canal du Midi, the Mediterranean beaches and ports are all within a short drive and are easily accessible for sports and pastimes to suit all tastes. There is a golf course, equestrian centre and fishing within walking distance of the house and cyclists can enjoy relatively flat terrain for several kilometres around the village. Pony trekking, country walks, rock climbing, canoeing and watersports are all within the local area.
If sport is all too much for you, why not just relax by your private pool in the secluded garden soaking up some of the 300 days of sunshine enjoyed by this area of France. A car is essential to fully explore all of this lovely area of the South France.
Accommodation at The Villa On Avenue Rene Cassin in Herepian, France is on the first floor of this charming detached Villa. The property is able to accommodate up to six guests in the two bedrooms and double sofa bed in the lounge.
There is an ‘L’ shaped lounge and dining area with UK Satellite TV, Video, DVD Player, Hi-Fi, computer and telephone is provided, along with a collection of books, videos and CD/DVDs. The dining room seats six guests and the French windows lead to the small balcony fitted with retractable sun-shade. There is a modern well equipped kitchen with fridge, gas/electric hob with an electric oven and microwave. A small table suitable for four provides an alternative to the dining room for meals and snacks. The double bedroom is furnished with an attractive and comfortable metal-framed bed, matching bedside furniture, dressing table with mirror and an occasional chair. A fitted wardrobe with sliding doors provides adequate room for storage. The twin bedroom is furnished with pine matching furniture, with two single beds, two bedside tables, double wardrobe, occasional chair and dressing table with wall mounted mirror above. The bathroom is fitted with a large shower, toilet, basin and vanity unit, heated towel rail and adequate storage. A small utility room contains the washing machine, ironing board and cleaning equipment. The ground floor is for pool equipment and toys, barbecue cleaning facilities and owner storage.
The garden area contains a variety of large and attractive trees and has both sunny and secluded areas. The swimming pool and lounging area is south facing for all day sun with the barbecue and outside dining area enjoying shade under a very large and attractive willow tree.
Beziers 30mins
To reach The Villa On Avenue Rene Cassin by air/car hire there are several convenient airports all served by the low cost airlines. Beziers/Cap D’Agde (Ryanair) is the easiest with only a 30 min drive. Other viable airports, all less than 2 hours by car, are, Montpellier, Carcassonne, Nimes or Perpignan. Toulouse and Girona (Spain) are 2 hours+. In all cases join the A9 Mediterranean coastal autoroute just outside chosen airport to Beziers and leave at the BEZIERS EAST exit. Turn right after the toll booth and take the Bedarieux road at the following 3 roundabouts. Avoid turning off the D909 to Bedarieux (11km point) the road goes straight to Herepian (D909a).
By Car From North - Favoured route is via Clermont Ferrand A75 to Lodeve (or Clermont L’Herault if better roads are preferred). Follow signs to Bedarieux and then on to Herepian. A local travel map will be provided by post before travel.
The house can be reached by train via Beziers to Bedarieux with a short taxi ride to Herepian.
