Area activities: Peace and relaxation in historic surroundings. Nearby Ferns Castle is an Anglo Norman Fortress built in the 13th Century with a fascinating Visitors Centre. For the golfers amongst you, County Wexford offers six championship golf course, three of which are within easy driving distance of The Old Deanery. Within easy reach also are the rich fishing grounds of the Wexford coast and the many rivers of the area. For great days out why not visit The Irish National Heritage Park, The Dunbrody Famine Ship or The John F. Kennedy Arboretum. For the children the pristine beaches of Wexford are waiting!
