Scenic hilltop setting on village edge in conservation area with breathtaking views overlooking valleys towards Shropshire and Malvern Hills. Situated 4km from Cleobury Mortimer, a charming ancient town with pubs, restaurants, tea-rooms, butchers, bakers, shops and grocers, delis, take-aways and school sports facilities centre. 'Gateway to Shropshire'. This is an ideal spot for unwinding in peace and idyllic surroundings, or walking on the footpaths from our boundaries. Fishing, golf, clay-pigeon shooting and horse-riding all within 5km. The cottage has a very much 'get away from it all' feeling yet good access to local towns such as Bewdley, Ludlow, Worcester, Hereford and Ironbridge.
Locally there are many old churches, both C of E and RC. Local attractions include the Severn Valley Steam Railway at Bewdley (6 miles away), West Midlands Safari Park with amusements (8 miles), Craft Centre and tearooms (1 mile) and Stowport town, riverside amusements and Leisure Centre and gym (8 miles).
The Mill House is a 17th Century part-timbered converted mill house sympathetically refurbished to offer modern conveniences in period character and charm. It has exposed beams and trusses, traditional features and materials and fantastic views from the house and gardens. The first floor sitting room's large windows overlooks south-facing garden and hills beyond. King bedrooms overlook garden at ground level. The twin room has distant views beyond the wildlife pond.
The property consists of a master bedroom with king-size bed, en-suite power-shower and wash basin. There is a second bedroom also with a king-size bed. Third bedroom is a twin room with an en-suite power-shower, w.c. and basin. There is a family bathroom with bath, w.c. and basin. There is an open plan kitchen/dining area with a well-equipped kitchen and seating for eight.
At the rear of the cottage is a south-facing private garden and patio with table and chairs.
There is a large shared lawn with games/treehouse etc.
