County Cork, in the far South West of Ireland, occupies its place perilously at the edge of Europe, where the rolling hills of the Emerald Isle drop away into the Atlantic Ocean. Along this coastline the visitor will find everything from rugged and wind-lashed cliffs, to beautifully quaint and secluded fishing villages with houses painted every colour under the sun. Glandore itself sits around a pretty harbour, where fishing boats come and go, and the local stables bring their horses to swim in the calm waters. And of course, this being Ireland, there are plenty of cosy local pubs from which to enjoy the view with a drink in hand, or maybe get to know the locals if the weather sets in.
Ancient sites abounds in the near vicinity, such as the Drombeg Stone Circle which is just a 25 minute walk from the village, or Coppingers Court, a ruined castle dating from the 16th century.
Slightly further afield, but still within an easy day trip from the Marine are all the attractions of County Cork and County Kerry, including the world famous Blarney Castle, home of the mythical Blarney Stone, the cosmopolitan city of Cork, and Ireland's gourmet capital, Kinsale. Or why not venture to some of the most Westerly points of Europe and experience the beaches and mountains of the Ring of Kerry and the shimmering lakes of Killarney National Park.
The Marine - House No 1 is a fabulous three bedroom property to accommodate five guests on a complex of 18 brand new holiday homes. The complex is ideally located alongside the Marine Hotel in Glandore, nestled snugly beside the village's picturesque harbour.
House No 1 is very spacious, built over two floors, with three bedrooms. The bedrooms consist of a double ensuite, a twin ensuite and a single room, each boasting a flat screen television. Downstairs each house has been designed with contemporary open plan living in mind, with a spacious kitchen and lounge/diner. Offering such luxuries as Italian leather sofas, wall mounted flat screen televisions and electric storage heating, the houses are finished to the highest standards, while the look is completed in the kitchen with granite work surfaces, electric cooker & hob, microwave, toaster & kettle, integrated washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher & fridge/freezer.
On those evenings when you would rather stare out across the bay than cook for yourselves, the Marine offers the first class 'Eve's Restaurant' with spectacular sea views while you dine. Or if you would rather spend your time in Ireland living like a local, why not have a pint or two of the Black Stuff at Adam's Bar. Here you can enjoy live music, or sit out on the patio and watch the sun set over the harbour.

The Marine - House No 1 is situated in Glandore, County Cork, Ireland. From Cork, follow signs towards Bandon, travelling along the N71. After passing Bandon, continue along the N71 through Clonakilty until you reach Rosscarbery. Here, turn left along the R597 signed towards Glandore. Once you reach the village of Glandore, continue towards the harbour, and when you reach it, the Marine is on your right hand-side.
