The Barn in the village of Embry, France is a charming rural property situated alongside a bubbling stream crossed by a bridge. Nestled in the Embrienne Valley, Embry is perfect for those who love walking, cycling, driving or horse riding. Deserted country lanes take you through river valleys, forests and delightful rural villages in unspoilt surroundings.
Nearby are the market towns of Hesdin and Montreuil-sur-Mer (15 minutes away) - and the chic coastal resort of Le Touquet and the beaches of the Côte d'Opale (30 minutes away). Embry is 30-40 minutes away from at least five excellent golf courses - St-Omer, Hardelot, Wimereaux, Le Touquet and Fort Mahon. If you prefer to fish, trout fishing is possible in the local rivers with a permit.
The battlefields, museums, forts and memorials of the First and Second World Wars are all within easy reach, as are the ancient battle sites of Agincourt and Crécy. If you are interested in the First World War, we recommend visiting the town of Albert which was sited on the front line of the Western Front and was subsequently destroyed by shelling. All around are the famous ridges and battlefields of the Somme, which are commemorated by various cemeteries and memorials. For younger guests, the Euro-Disney and Asterix theme parks are a little over two hours away by car or by TGV.

Outside there is a south-facing terrace with a barbecue area and garden furniture. A wide, open lawn leads up to a wooded hilltop, with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
