Smuggler Cottage in East Looe, Cornwall is ideally situated on the level in the old part of town, moments from the beach and river. Right in the centre of Looe, this lovely old cottage is surrounded by restaurants and pubs. You can also walk to the beach or river in a few moments.
Looe is a charming, picturesque and magical Cornish fishing village with old buildings, twisting streets, smugglers taverns and some fine restaurants. Popular with tourists for years, Looe still retains its importance as a major Cornish fishing port, with a sizeable fleet and busy fish market.
Continuing around the headland from Looe you will come across the little-visited, attractive and unspoilt coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, backed by high wooded cliffs. Here the future Henry Vll landed before the Battle of Bosworth, later the villages were a smugglers haven. If you go further you'll come across the wonderful golf course at Whitsands Bay.
Smuggler Cottage in East Looe, Cornwall is a beautiful, Grade II listed, three bedroomed 15th Century Cottage to accommodate up to six guests. The Cottage has been tastefully restored, featuring ships beams, timbers, panelling with smuggler tunnel access.
Accommodation: Lounge with a new comfortable three seater sofa, armchairs, electric fire, CD Player and TV/DVD Player. The corner window has a window seat. Fully equipped kitchen/dining area includes a fridge, microwave, toaster and electric cooker. Bedroom 1 has an antique brass bed, marble washstand and a wardrobe. There is also a shower in the corner. Bedroom 2 has new twin beds and a shower in the room. It has a high ceiling with beams and exposed stone walls. This a mezzanine room, with a curtain to separate it from the passage leading to the bathroom. Bedroom 3 is a charming step-down, cabin-feel, room. Painted in restful sea green, this bedroom also has twin beds and is ideal for children as it is close Bedroom 1. Bathroom with a clothes drier and airing cupboard, as well as bath, toilet and wash basin. Please note that this room is at the top of the house and up the windy stairs, and is the only wc.
