Scott Cottage is quietly situated close to the centre of the small village of Bellerby in lush green Wensleydale, making it an ideal location from which to tour the Yorkshire Dales and Moors. The Lake District National Park is also within an hours drive. Bellerby is a frequent winner of the best kept village award, with trout streams flowing through the centre.
The village has a post office and pub within 50 yards, whilst a short drive will take you into Leyburn, Richmond and Catterick which all have further facilities. Wensleydale - the Dale was made famous in recent years by the well published stories of country practice vet 'James Herriot'. Nearby can be found lovely scenery, stately homes, castles, excellent walking country, fishing and horse riding. Nearby Middleham is well known for horse racing stables and early morning gallops are a daily sight. A car is essential at this property to fully explore all this lovely area.
