Rue Kerlan is located near Rostrenen, a traditional Breton market town in central Brittany. It is approximately a ten minute drive from the man made beach at Glomel offering swimming and watersports. In Rostrenen there are Banks, Supermarkets, Boulangeries, Post Office, Chemists, English speaking Doctors and a Tourist Information Office, where you can find information on the area, local places of interest and events that might occur during your visit. There are also several bars and restaurants.
Tuesday is market day in Rostrenen, where you will find a range of stalls offering locally grown produce together with, homemade cheeses and breads, fresh fish and cooked meats. It also boasts an English fish and chip van! Rostrenen is known as the crossroads of Brittany because of its location and good roads. You can get to any of Brittany’s coast in under two hours and easily get to several major cities in France, including Paris.
For those who enjoy walking, the Gorges Corong is 4km away, and close by is the Nantes-Brest Canal, the towpath is a joy for cyclists.
