Property Location: Discover the "hidden" side of mysterious Loch Ness. Rowan Cottage sits on its own at the head of the Pass of Inverfarigaig, 2km from its southern shores amidst a landscape of rugged mountains and moorland, sparkling lochs and forest walks.
Distance from town: Foyers, four miles away has a small shop, Post Office and several hotels. Inverness, capital of the Highlands is eighteen miles away and offers all amenities.
Area activities: Rowan Cottage makes an excellent touring base at the centre of the Highlands. Castles, Culloden, Ben Nevis, dolphin watching, or cruises on Loch Ness are all within easy reach. Close at hand are forest walks and the Falls of Foyers, or you can swim, fish or simply relax. A car is essential to reach this property.

Utility with fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities and cleaning materials. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. Bathroom with toilet, basin and bath with shower over the bath.
Outside living areas: The sun room opens onto a large covered verandah with outdoor chairs. Deer are often spotted in the one acre wild garden of heather and trees.

To reach Rowan Cottage in Errogie, Inverness-shire, Scotland, from Perth take the A9 north to near Daviot, 7 miles south of Inverness. As you come down a long hill on a dual carriageway, there are signs on large brown boards for Fort Augustus - B851. Near the bottom of the hill turn left, slip has a light coloured gravelled surface, and you are turning onto a single track road, so slow right down or you may overshoot the turn! Continue for about 16 miles to a Y junction with the B862, and bear left, still signposted Fort Augustus. After two miles you will see a road sign Errogie as you enter the village, which is just a line of houses and a small church. Turn right at the telephone box, signposted Inverfarigaig. This is on a very bad bend, the main road swings 90 degrees left, so it looks as though you are going straight on, but it is technically a right turn. Continue for about a quarter of a mile, the Cottage is the second gate on your right after you have passed the phone box. If you reach a signpost for Aultnagoire you have passed it, just turn round and you will see the Cottage as you drive back up at the brow of the hill.
From Fort William follow the A82 towards Inverness, and as you enter Fort Augustus turn right onto the B862, past the Abbey gates. If you cross the canal in the centre of Fort Augustus you have missed the turn. Continue over a high pass, do not turn off until you reach Errogie, and the telephone box mentioned above.
From Inverness follow the B862 to Dores, and continue up the hill in Dores for about ten miles until you get to Errogie. Pass the Y junction with the B851 which joins on your left and continue to the phone box in Errogie as above.
