Property Location: The Rock House Estate is 100 acres in the North Pennines near Alston.
Distance from town: A mile from village of Nenthead (Post Office/General Store, Pub with restaurant, Restaurant)
Couple of miles from Market Town of Alston (Co-op Late Shop, butchers, greengrocers, pubs etc)
Area activities: Ideal for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, pony trekking, golf, etc or for just relaxing in a quiet peaceful area. There is also an interesting industrial heritage with a steam railway and lead mines (underground tours)
The groundfloor has a large lounge, a sitting room and a wide passageway that is a 'reading area' (and one of the three bathrooms). The lounge has a TV/Video/DVD and the sitting room has a Radio/CD/Tape.
The four bedrooms are:
upstairs - a double bedroom with a four poster bed
upstairs - a family bedroom with a double & 2 singles (and a cot)

The large kitchen is geared for catering for large numbers - 2 electric cookers (ie 2 ovens 2 grills, 8 hot plates), a shoulder high upright freezer & a matcing larder fridge, 2 kettles, 2 toasters, a microwave, and a dishwasher. The utility room has a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a rotary clothes line outside.
The garden has two tables with parasols, 14 chairs, and a BBQ

From Alston, take the A689 for 2.5 miles towards Nenthead. Just after the Nenthall Hotel turn left where there is a brown tourist sign to 'Rock House Estate'. Follow the lane for about 1.5 miles. Valley View is a stone house on the right hand side. The owners will give you the key and show you to the cottage
