Portes du Soleil is located in the heart of the Swiss Alps close to the French border, at an altitude of 1600m, in the Valais. Situated midway between Geneva, Lausanne, Bern and Zurich, you will enjoy the magnificent view of the 'Dents du Midi' summits.
The village of Champoussin nestles on a mountainside, at a height of 1600m, between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva in one of the most beautiful mountain areas of the world. Here twelve Swiss and French ski centres together, offer over 700kms of prepared pistes, 300kms of marked walking trails and 230 ski lifts, all on one lift pass. The nearest shops are located 10km away.
This Resort is an excellent base for exploring magnificent countryside, beautiful villages and walking in lush alpine meadows.
The comfortably equipped holiday apartments at Portes du Soleil in Switzerland are located in different buildings grouped around a restaurant, where Swiss specialities are served, there is also a snack bar and a grocery store. The apartments are decorated in a warm and cosy typical alpine wooden 'chalet' style. Optional half board meal plans are available, at an additional cost.
On site facilities include a Reception, Restaurant, Snack Bar, Gym, Skiing in season, Ski School, Games Room, Grocery Store, Laundry, Sauna, Swimming Pool (closed in the summer months), Telephone, Gardens and Child Care. The Resort also organises excursions into the country in the summer months.

To reach Portes du Soleil, by car, from the Airport, drive towards Lausanne, Grand Saint-Bernard, then Montreux/Aigle and exit at "Les Portes du Soleil/Saint Triphon". And then towards Monthey, take the direction of Val d'Illiez. In Val d'Illiez, take a small road on the right to Champoussin. The road is narrow and winding but is in good condition. The Resort may arrange a shuttle bus for 7 pax or more from the Airport for a fee, or a taxi at a reduced price upon request in advance.
