The area is great for walkers, cyclists and twitchers or simply relax by the outdoor swimming pool or sunbathe and have a barbecue on your own rooftop solarium. Just a few kilometres away is a large lake/reservoir, a great place to have a picnic or fish, subject to licences.
Nearby Orihuela is an inland town that has lots of history and has been a settlement of several civilisations that have all left their mark. The centre is full of beautiful architecture, churches, public buildings on the River Segura, making it a wonderful town to visit. Visit the monastery to enjoy lovely views of the town.
