1 Northside Cottage at Doxford Farm Cottages is located at Chathill, near Alnwick, Northumberland.
The Farm has both arable and livestock enterprises and supports various conservation and environmental stewardship schemes. The Cottages are located at the end of a no-through road, thus creating a safe and quiet environment for guests. The lake holds brown trout and guests are welcome to fly fish by arrangement with the Estate Manager. We have five miles of wooded and lakeside walks and trails for our guests to explore the farm and our diverse wildlife.
This property makes an ideal base for exploring this lovely part of Northumberland. Dotted along the coast are the castles of Warkworth, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh, also the Priory and Castle of Holy Island. As well as these landmarks, there are many great houses including Cragside and Wallington which are open to the public. A car is essential to fully explore this lovely part of Northumberland.
1 Northside Cottage is one of the lovely cottages that make up Doxford Farm Cottages. Set on a working farm, Northside Cottage benefits from its own garden.
Accommodation: There are three bedrooms, a double, a twin and a large bedroom with a double and a single bed. Upstairs bathroom with a bath with overhead shower. The sitting room is comfortably furnished with an open fire, Freeview flatscreen television and dvd player. There is a separate dining room leading to a well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. All linens are provided, please bring towels. Electricity is paid by a £1 meter.
Doxford Farm Cottages also benefit from a games room containing pool table, table tennis table, board games and Sky plus television.

Travelling North, by-pass Alnwick. Five miles north of Alnwick take a right turn, the B6347 by a large square farmhouse on your right. Follow the B6347 for about 2 miles and take a left to Doxford Farm. The keys will be left in Cottage doors and the owners will greet you on your arrival (between June and September the coffee shop will be open, please collect cottage keys from there and have a complimentary cup of coffee).
