The lovely spa town of Nairn, a holiday resort dating back to Victorian times, has miles of beautiful sandy beaches and a harbour, home to the resident dolphin population. Nairn is also located just a few miles from Inverness and the most famous of lochs, Loch Ness. The three famous castles of Cawdor, Brodie and Stuart are close by, as is the Culloden Battlefield, the artillery fortress of Fort George and the Standing Stones and Clava Cairns located just 1.5 miles from Nairn.
Other nearby attractions include the Strathspey Steam Railway, Culbin Sands RSPB Nature Reserve and Loch Ness. There are plenty of sporting opportunities in and around Nairn, including two championship golf courses, a sports centre, two swimming pools, riding, cricket, fishing and walking. There are 40 Golf courses within a 1 hr drive.
