On the Brittany Normandy border of France, Le Petit Lapin is located on top of a hill in the small village of Sains, nine kilometres from the famous medieval site of Mont Saint Michel. The village has a large playing field and outdoor basketball court, a short walk from the Cottage and there is also a lake for fishing, with picnic tables, a kilometre away. The lively market town of Pontorson is six kilometres to the east, while Dol de Bretagne, with its ancient cathedral, is eight kilometres to the west. Dol additionally boasts several fine restaurants and a public indoor swimming pool. Sandy beaches are a thirty minute drive from the house, as is dramatic cliff-walking near Cancale, a town famed for its oysters. Saint Malo, with its old walled town and a large aquarium, is also a thirty minute drive, as is the beautiful medieval town of Dinan. A car is essential to fully appreciate all this lovely area has to offer.
Le Petit Lapin in France is a charming Cottage to accommodate 2-4 guests, with one bedroom and a small mezzanine with a double bed, a bathroom with shower, wash basin and wc. There is also a cosy kitchen/living area. The property is fully heated for use throughout the year and has lovely exposed beams. Renovated and furnished to a very high standard in 2002, this small traditional Breton Cottage has lovely views over the Couesnon Valley to the south.
