Just For Two in France is ideally located in Fontrailles in the Gascony region lying between the Pyrénées and the River Gironde to the north. Castles, fortified churches, ‘bastide’ towns and villages can be found all over the area. Caesars Way and the Pilgrimage Way are a testament to the time of Roman occupation and later, when pilgrims passed through en route for Santiago di Compostella in Spain.
The local town of Trie sur Baïse (2.5kms), an old bastide town, offers all the basic requirements, Bank ATM, bakers, butchers, paper shop and greengrocer all situated around the pretty main square where a bustling market is held every Tuesday. On the outskirts is an Intermarche supermarket with a filling station.
Nearby attractions include golf, fishing, horse riding, tennis, rafting, cycling, bird watching, painting and walking are among the many activities that can be enjoyed in the area. There are many places to visit in the Pyrenees including the well known UNESCO site - Cirque de Gavarnie. Just For Two makes an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of this delightful part of Gascony region of France, a car being essential.
Just For Two in Trie sur Baïse, France is a fully equipped, self contained, converted barn, part of an old farmhouse, situated in a quiet, traffic free, secluded rural area, yet close to all amenities of Trie sur Baïse. This one bedroom, double glazed gîte is ideal for two guests.
Accommodation: Large lounge with comfy chairs, dining table, balcony, satellite widescreen television, dvd/video and hi-fi. Wi-Fi Internet access is also available. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker and oven, microwave and grill, fridge, toaster, kettle, iron and a full range of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. The twin bedroom is downstairs with an ensuite shower room and a ceiling fan. The upstairs balcony complete with patio furniture, overlooks the gardens and swimming pool area. Please note the gîte is not suitable for the infirm or for wheelchair access.
On site there is a large mature shady 1¼ acre garden offering beautiful views over the countryside, with the Pyrénées in the distance. The outdoor swimming pool and gardens are shared with the owners, who live on the premises. Garden furniture is also provided.

Make for Trie sur Baïse and from the central square take the road marked Bordeaux/Mielan (D17). After crossing a junction and at the top of the brow, take the D40 on the right to Fontrailles. Follow this road for about 1 mile and at the 1st house on your left, take the small lane behind it (on a nasty bend by a wheelie bin). Tuquet is then the first house on the left.
