Herodot in Turkey is ideally located only a short walk from Bodrum, where you will find markets, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The nearest beach is only a fifteen minute walk from the property. There is a good network of public transport dolmus/minibus which run regularly.
Situated on a beautiful peninsula, Bodrum with miles of sandy beaches is an ideal location for a wide range of watersports. With the lively marina the hub of the town, sailing is a way of life in the Bodrum Peninsula, with plenty of opportunity to cruise along the spectacular shoreline in a yacht or enjoy a famed Blue Cruise in a traditional wooden gulet.
With its rich history of Turkish crafts, Bodrum is the perfect place for some serious shopping. The bazaar quarter is home to traditional shops, selling everything from carpets and rugs, to leather, silver, pottery and embroidery, and colourful local markets offering an array of local produce and spices.
Steeped in ancient history, the Bodrum region is home to some fascinating sites and ancient ruins, including the site of King Mausolous' Tomb, Bodrum Castle, the Amphitheatre, and the underwater city of Mindos.
Herodot in Bodrum, Turkey is a fully equipped, top (second) floor, two bedroom apartment on a small complex with a shared outdoor swimming pool and pretty gardens. The fully air conditioned apartment is able to accommodate up to six guests. The apartment has wonderful sea views from both lounge balconies with further views from a rooftop terrace above. It also overlooks the quiet communal pool.
Accommodation includes an open plan, fully equipped kitchen/living room. The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances. The master bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has twin beds and there is a double sofa bed in the living room. Bathroom. Patio doors from the lounge lead onto the balcony with patio furniture, there is also a balcony leading from the master bedroom.
On site facilities include a lovely shared outdoor swimming pool complete with sun loungers, a small children's pool and allocated parking space.
