Eliza's Cottage in Shropshire is idyllically situated in a residential area of Church Stretton, a few minutes walk from the High Street and the slopes of the Long Mynd, providing many attractive walks from your doorstep. Church Stretton is at the heart of the Long Mynd’s 5,000 acres of heather covered moorland owned by the National Trust, a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Church Stretton is a friendly town with a good variety of traditional shops to browse around giving old fashioned personal service, with a small street market on Thursdays. There are several antique shops, a variety of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and take-aways providing delicious food. Local county pubs in the surrounding villages provide excellent bar snacks and evening meals.
Attractions close by include Burford House Gardens, home of the clematis, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm and Wernlas collection of rare poultry, the award winning Ironbridge Gorge Museums captures the history of the Industrial Revolution, Severn Valley Steam Railway, Daniels Mill working water mill or the Aerospace Museum at RAF Cosford.
Golf can be found at Church Stretton Golf Course, one of the highest courses in England. Local fishing is also available nearby.

Eliza's Cottage in Church Stretton dates back to 1885, when the rector of Church Stretton built the row of five cottages for his coachman, cook, gardener etc. The Cottage has recently been renovated to a high standard, retaining many of the original features and character. This mid terraced, two bedroom cottage to accommodate four guests, offers first class facilities, and is tastefully furnished to ensure comfortable, homely and immaculate accommodation. Full gas central heating is provided in all rooms. This lovely property has been awarded four stars by Visit Britain.
The large kitchen/dining room is fully fitted with a light oak country style kitchen with electric fan oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, iron and ironing board. Table and chairs are provided with seating for four guests. The utility room leading from the kitchen is equipped with a washing machine/drier and separate toilet and washbasin. The lounge, which enjoys the morning sun, has an original fireplace with woodburner, colour television, video and cottage style three piece suite.
The master bedroom has a double bed with Edwardian bedroom furniture and lovely views over Church Stretton to Helmeth Hill. The second bedroom has two single beds with pine bedroom furniture and looks out over the garden. The bathroom is fully fitted with a shower over the bath. Fresh bed linen, soft towels, tea towels, electricity and gas central heating are all included for you. OS maps and walking books are also provided. Sorry no pets are allowed.
Eliza's Cottage has a small garden at the front and a larger garden at the rear with flower borders. Parking is available at the front of the Cottage.
