Domaine Faverot in France is located within walking or cycling distance of the charming old village of Maubec, with a local shop, bar and restaurant.
Domaine Faverot is situated in the northern foothills of the Luberon mountains surrounded by pine woods, vines, wild herbs and fruit trees. a lovely part of the world where you can relax, swim, sunbathe and generally enjoy beautiful Provence.
Within easy reach there are several fine championship golf courses, beautifully designed and well maintained, which offer excellent golf with reasonable green fees. Other activities are horse riding, walking, cycling, tennis, canoe/kayaking and fishing on the Sorgue.
The property is surrounded by many famous villages of Provence, Oppède le Vieux, Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, Menerbes and Lacoste. It is also ideally situated to visit the famous wine regions of the southern Rhône and the bustling farmer's market in Coustellet (Sunday morning) and the larger markets of Cavaillon (Monday morning), Isle sur la Sorgue (Sunday morning) and Aix en Provence (Thursday and Saturday mornings). A car is essential at this property to fully explore this beautiful region.
The Domaine was a former silk worm farm and today has one wing converted into four unique and beautifully decorated cottages. Le Cerisier is a charming two bedroom property to accommodate three guests.
Each cottage is on two levels and is totally self contained with full kitchen facilities, comfortable sitting area with wood burning fireplace, modern ensuite bathrooms and luxurious bedrooms, one double and one single, with French linens and silk accents. Each cottage is different, but all are furnished with taste and decorated with understated elegance in the sunny colours of Provence.
Individual terraces are furnished for private outside relaxing and dining and guests share a large outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers among the cherry trees, olives, roses and vines.
The owners live on the estate and produce award winning wines in the appellation Controlé Côtes du Luberon region. A white, a rosé and two reds are available for tastings and sales.

Domaine Faverot - Le Cerisier is situated near Maubec, France. From Marseille, take the A7 motorway towards Lyon and leave at the n°25 exit at Cavaillon. Go through Cavaillon town (centre-ville) and follow the signposts to Apt on the D2. After Robion, take the second road on the right, the D29 and you will see Domaine Faverot 500 m. on your right. From Avignon, take the motorway A7 towards Marseille and leave it at Cavaillon as above. Further details available from the property owner upon confirmation of the booking.
