Dar Alessia on the island of Gozo near Malta is situated at the edge of Xaghra, near Calypso’s Cave and Ramla Bay.
The property is based on the edge of town, a fifteen minute walk into the square, where there is a bank, small supermarket and restaurants. Five minutes from Marsalforn, one of the best areas in the Med. for scuba diving, and also good for walking and bird watching.
Gozo is the sister island of Malta and is approximately twelve miles by nine miles and only a twenty five minute ferry ride from the north coast of Malta. The views in Gozo are stunning.
The islands are steeped in history, which goes back to prehistoric times and include links with Phoenicia, Turkey, Rome and the Knights of St. John. The languages spoken are Maltese and English, Malta having a long connection with England.
Dar Alessia on the beautiful island of Gozo is a charming, traditional Gozitan Farmhouse to accommodate four guests.
Accommodation: Spacious sitting room with a comfortable cane suite, two sofas and two armchairs, with a door leading to the charming courtyard, outdoor swimming pool and barbecue area. Large dining room with fireplace and a large dining table, which can seat up to eight guests. Fully equipped tiled kitchen including a washing machine. Downstairs wc. A spiral staircase from the dining room leads to two double ensuite bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is furnished in typical Gozitan style and has a kingsize bed, ceiling fan and a French window leading onto a large tiled terrace, which overlooks the pool. Bedroom 2 is a twin bedded room with pine furniture.
On site there is a large tiled terrace which overlooks the pool. There is also a courtyard, outdoor swimming pool and barbecue area, this area has sun loungers and outdoor furniture. The pool depth is from 1.2 to 1.8 metres and has a Jacuzzi.
