Courtyard Cottage in Berwick Upon Tweed is a period cottage situated in the oldest part of the town, opposite the former Governor's Palace and close to the time worn Elizabethan ramparts. Whilst being peaceful and relaxing it is only three minutes walk from restaurants, shops and the beach.
This property is very conveniently placed for touring the surrounding area, The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle, The Northumbrian Coast and the Scottish Borders all being a short drive away. A car is essential to fully explore this lovely area.
Courtyard Cottage in Northumberland is a charming two bedroom property to accommodate four/five guests, it has been thoroughly refurbished to ensure guest comfort and relaxation and is furnished and equipped to an excellent standard throughout. The property dates back to the eighteenth century and is believed to be built upon part of the site of a C10th century nunnery. Accessed through an ancient vennel.
The property is double glazed with full gas central heating but to ensure a cosy atmosphere all year round, the comfortable open plan lounge area has a living flame gas fire, colour television and video player. There is a large spacious twin bedded room, a smaller double bedded room and an additional small room with a futon style bed. The Cottage is hidden away from public view, with a delightful walled courtyard garden which is both private and tranquil.
