Cherry Cottage is situated near the centre of the small picturesque Highland village of Boat of Garten. The village has hotels, bars and shops, and it is only six miles from Aviemore, which has a good selection of shops, restaurants, bars and a supermarket.
Activities to be found nearby include a Golf and Tennis Club 100 meters, swimming indoor and outdoor, fishing, canoeing, sailing, wind surfing, skiing in season, horse riding, off roading, hill walking, mountaineering and many more sports all within fifteen miles, as is the Cairngorm National Park. It is an ideal base for touring the Highlands, with many peaceful forest walks all round the village. A car is essential at this property to fully explore this lovely part of Inverness-shire.
Cherry Cottage in Boat of Garten, Scotland is a bungalow built in 1985 to a high standard with wood burning stove in the lounge. Comfortably furnished, and simply decorated for rural living, Scottish paintings are a feature. The property overlooks its own garden, with partial views of the nearby hills from the lounge. Cherry Cottage has been awarded two stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.
Further accommodation includes: Bedroom 1 with a king size bed, which can be split into twins. Bedroom 2 with one single bed and one set of bunk beds. Bathroom with wc, bath with electric shower, wash basin, shaver point and heater. Fully equipped kitchen with dining area. Heating is in the form of night storage heaters, plus programmable electric heaters in the bedrooms and kitchen, there is a log burning stove in the lounge, and a fan heater in the bathroom.
There is plenty of parking for two cars and a shed for storage of bikes etc.
