La Baume - La Palmeraie in France is the ideal destination for those seeking picture book locations and culture. From here in the heart of the French Riviera, the soft, sandy beaches, natural inlets and coves. The famous towns of Cannes and St Tropez are all within easy reach.
Frejus is in the Var department of Provence, just inland from St Raphael on the Cote d'Azur. The medieval centre of Frejus is centred around the Place Formagé where the cathedral of Saint Léonce and the Mairie fill two sides of the square. The cathedral is small and in an attractive, simple style - note especially the carvings around the doorways, and the cloister and the 4th/5th century baptistry are both very attractive. The town hall was originally the bishop’s palace and is painted a pale orange colour. There is also an attractive 15th century church - St Maximinus - in Frejus. If you are looking for something more offbeat, track down the Chinese pagoda, or the Sudanese mosque, then the memorial to the war in Indochina.
Why not travel inland and explore Provence as well? See Tourtour the village in the clouds, Sillans la Cascade and the Verdon Gorges, or visit the art galleries in Saint Paul de Vence, a village of unspoilt natural beauty and age-old traditions. A car is essential to fully explore the area.
Camping La Baume - La Palmeraie in the south of France is a two bedroom mobile home to accommodate up to six guests.
The home has a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge/freezer, coffee maker, microwave and full oven, comfortable lounge area with double sofa bed, one double room and one triple room and bathroom. There is also a patio area with patio furniture, sun loungers and ample parking.
On site facilities include a food store, bakery, fresh produce, drinks, bottled gas and TV hire, clothes shop, newsagents, toys, postcards, souvenirs and beach items. La Baume has a pizzeria snack bar, while at La Palmeraie you will find a snack bar and a restaurant offering table service and takeaways.
An extensive activities schedule is on offer with a wide choice throughout the week, with volleyball, football, basketball, beach volleyball, pétanque, badminton, four tennis courts and archery in July and August. La Palmeraie also includes a weights room with gym lessons. Take advantage of the aquagym and enjoy the pool games - water polo and water jousting at the swimming pools. A range of entertaining sports tournaments are also arranged by a team of qualified events organisers.
From April through to June and in September, our events organisers bring the entertainment to the bar at La Baume, while in July and August events are held in the amphitheatre on the La Baume site and the bar terrace on the La Palmeraie site. For your enjoyment, fantastic evening entertainment with a range of concerts, shows and cabaret acts, including something for the kids, are held almost every night. Entry to the La Baume discotheque is free, the perfect way to round off the evening to the sound of summer tunes.
