Caheroyan House in County Galway, Ireland is situated just outside the town of Athenry. Caheroyan House is an award-winning family run country house, offering bed & breakfast incorporating self catering cottages within a courtyard setting, that is only a few yards from the Manor House. The farm belongs to the Coyne family, with most of the buildings circa. 1800, with the addition of some modern farm buildings, the farmyard retains a traditional atmosphere of a typical farm.
The farm provides a unique opportunity to experience life on a real farm, as all the normal seasonal activities carry on around you. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the nature walk, or feed the animals. There is also a well maintained trout fish pond on the farm, where you can enjoy angling.
This idyllic location is only twenty five minutes drive from Galway City, twenty minutes from Ballybrit Galway famous for the Horse Racing Festivals, twenty minutes from Clarenbridge, world famous oyster festivals and forty five minutes from Ballinalsoe home of the renowned Horse Fair. A car is essential to fully explore this lovely area of County Galway.
Caheroyan House offers four self catering cottages all with a private garden at the rear. These range from one bedroom to three bedroom accommodation surrounding the farm. The comfortable accommodation in tastefully restored cottages, retains the character of a bygone age.
The Barn Cottage has two separate double rooms and a twin room. It has an old style wood burning stove, used in the olden days by the stable boys to keep warm whilst tending the horses in the stables in the harsh winters. Fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker and oven, microwave, fridge with ice making compartment and washer/dryer. Shower and toilet, which can facilitate the disabled or partially disabled with grab and assistance rails. The Barn can accommodate up to six people.
There are also both grass and hard surface tennis courts on the farm, where all our guests can enjoy a game of tennis.

From Dublin take the N4 then the N6 in the direction of Galway, you will see a sign just after the town of Loughrea directing you to Athenry, ignore this sign and proceed to Craughwell. Take the first right turn after the railway line and proceed on this road until you come to a crossroads, it takes about five minutes, you will see the town of Athenry ahead of you. Continue straight on and the road turns to the left, follow this and takes the first right turn to bring you right beside Athenry Castle. You then come to a junction and Athenry Medieval Archway is on your left, turn right and continue straight up the road after the second turn right, just before the road rises to go over the railway line, you will see the sign for Caheroyan House and Farm B&B & Self Catering continue up the driveway and proceed to the front of the house.
