The superior holiday cottages at Barnsdale Hall and Country Club, at Exton in Rutland are set in 65 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with unrivalled views over Rutland Water. The largest man-made lake in western Europe, Rutland Water has something for everyone. The attractive 3,100 acre reservoir has an international reputation for providing a balance of sport, leisure and wildlife conservation and offers everyone the opportunity to try something new. You can try energetic sports such as windsurfing, rock-climbing or canoeing, hire a dinghy, bicycle or fishing boat or just relax by the water and watch the action around the 25 mile shoreline.
Rutland also boasts a number of historic buildings, museums and galleries including Oakham Castle, Rutland County Museum and Catmose Gallery. A car is highly recommended to fully explore all this lovely area of Rutland has to offer guests.
The superior holiday cottages at Barnsdale Hall, Hotel & Country Club at Exton in Rutland are fully equipped, spacious and light, set in extensive grounds. Several have been refurbished. Accommodation includes suites within the old hunting lodge and original stables, as well as timber framed lodges situated around the beautiful landscaped grounds. A friendly atmosphere awaits you in the Barnsdale Bar, ideal for a pre-dinner drink, a pick me up after a workout in the leisure centre or a relaxing night cap at the end of the day. For international cuisine to traditional teas, why not try the Barnsdale Brasserie. Extensive leisure facilities include a 22 metre indoor swimming pool, children's pool, spa pool, steam room, squash courts and snooker. Why not pamper yourself at the beauty shop and treatment rooms. Facilities also include a well equipped indoor leisure centre, outdoor tennis courts, bowls, pitch and putt course, boules and mini golf. Please note the Resort is on a hill and therefore may be unsuitable for guests with walking difficulties.

Barnsdale Hall & Country Club, in Rutland can be found between the historic market towns of Oakham & Stamford on the A606 about ten miles from the A1/M. Either take junction 25 off the M1 or come off the A1 on the A606 turnoff.
