Bahati House is located in Inchigeelagh village, County Cork minutes away from local amenities including pubs, hotels and shops. Inchigeelagh sits at the east end of a string of beautiful lakes spread seven miles along the River Lee Valley from Balingeary in the west. The local area provides excellent walking and fishing with boat hire and fishing guides available on Lough Allua. The lake waters regularly produce pike of between 20 and 30 pounds and must rank as one of the best, but least known, pike lakes in Ireland.
Nearby attractions include Gougane Barra Forest Park, located 5km west of Ballingeary on the R584 to Bantry, at the Pass of Keimaneigh. The beautiful lake at Gougane is the source of the River Lee, against a backdrop of rugged mountains. On a little island in the lake is the site of the sixth century hermitage of St. Finbarr and the island itself is linked to the mainland by a causeway.
The property is within easy reach of Bantry, Killarney and the Ring of Kerry to the west and Blarney and Cork City to the east. A car is essential at this property to fully appreciate the delights of County Cork.
