Badger's Way Lodge is situated at Limefitt Park, a five star countryside park near Lake Windermere, on the route to Kirkstone Pass and Ullswater. Limefitt is a tranquil park set amidst truly breathtaking scenery in one of Lakeland's most beautiful valleys.
The Lodge is ideal for nature lovers, walkers and those who simply want to relax and soak up the beautiful scenery. Badgers pass by each evening and with a little patience, you are sure to get an exciting, close up view of them!
Badger's Way is a superb base for touring, walking and a whole host of activities. It is also close to the bustling Lakeland towns of Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside, where you can find excellent shopping facilities, bistros, restaurants, pubs and a variety of entertainment. This property makes an excellent base for exploring the many and varied delights of the Lake District National Park which is a haven for walkers, cyclists, lovers of the great outdoors or for those who simply wish to relax amidst beautiful surroundings at any time of year.
Badger's Way Lodge at Limefitt Park in Troutbeck, Cumbria is a luxury, contemporary two bedroom lodge to accommodate four guests. The Lodge is fully equipped and beautifully furnished an ideal Lake District base.
Accommodation: Lounge/dining area with wall mounted television, dvd and cd players, fireplace and contemporary furniture, double doors lead onto the verandah. Fully equipped kitchen including double oven, grill, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, plenty of crockery, cutlery, utensils, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner. There is also a very useful cupboard for wet coats, bags and boots. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, wardrobes, drawers, and small dressing table. The ensuite has a walk-in shower, hand basin, toilet, shaving point and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 has two full size single beds, wardrobe, drawers and cupboards. Bathroom with bath and shower, hand basin, toilet, shaver point and heated towel rail.
Outside there is a large, gated verandah which enjoys all day sun. At the side of the decking, there is a small garden with seating, a grassed BBQ area and parking.
On site facilities include a reception with a small shop selling newspapers, fresh milk, bread, stamps and postcards, a public phone box, a cosy lakeland pub serving food, local beers. The pub has a small games room, pool table and darts. There is also a children's adventure playground with a river pool and grassy picnic area, a large recreation field with football and badminton nets. The launderette has ironing facilities - £1 coins needed. There are security cameras on site and the park gates are closed to cars at night. A security guard patrols the grounds until the early hours.
