43 Argyle Terrace is situated in Rothesay on the lovely Isle of Bute. The Isle of Bute, in the Firth of Clyde, is fifteen miles long and three miles wide. Bute is separated from the mainland of Scotland by a narrow channel called the Kyles of Bute and benefits from the warm Gulf Stream that enables palms and other tender plants to grow.
The Isle of Bute is a haven for walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching, golfing, yachting and nature lovers. The villages of Port Bannatyne and Kilchattan are well worth a visit as is Mount Stuart a spectacular house and gardens. The town of Rothesay has shops, restaurants pubs and cafes, as well as a swimming pool and cinema.
43 Argyle Terrace at Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, Scotland is a spacious, ground floor flat within a traditional flatted building, situated on the edge of woodland with breathtaking uninterrupted sea views. This fully equipped three bedroom property is able to accommodate up to eight guests.
The property is accessed from the road by a few steps, then a steep path which serpentines its way up the front garden to the private front door. There is a vestibule then a large hallway with all apartments off. The lounge situated at the front, has a bay window with uninterrupted sea views, three piece suite, television with freesat, dvd player and gas fire. There are three large bedrooms, two with double beds and one bedroom with a ¾ bed and a single bed. There is also a single bed in the lounge, with a small single underneath that can be used in any room. The fully equipped kitchen/diner is to the back of the flat and has a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, ceramic hob with stainless steel hood over, double oven, microwave, sink, drainer and private back door to the rear of the property, where there is access to a shared drying green. The dining table seats eight comfortably and there is a small sofa. There is a bathroom comprising bath, wash hand basin and wc. and also a shower room comprising shower, wash hand basin and wc.
The property further benefits from double glazing, gas central heating, a huge front garden belonging to the ground floor flat and direct access to the woods from the side and the rear garden.

To reach 43 Argyle Terrace on the Isle of Bute, off the west coast of Scotland, there are two ways to get to the island from the mainland. The ferry crossing from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay takes 35 minutes and runs approximately hourly. This ferry is 40 minutes by car from Glasgow airport and 50 minutes by train from Glasgow central station. The ferry from Colintraive on the mainland to Rhubodach takes barely five minutes and the drive is one of the most scenic routes in Scotland, this ferry is approximately a 2 hour drive from Glasgow.
This lovely island is very accessible by public transport 7 days a week and once on the island a car is not required. 43 Argyle Terrace is 10 minutes walking distance from the ferry at Rothesay, but it usually takes longer as you slow down on the island and take in the views all around. If you have heavy bags take a taxi, they are waiting at the ferry. You can then get around the island by cycle, bus and on foot.
