Bel Air

We stayed at the Bel Air Apartments for one week in October 2007. We found the apartments to be absolutely spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We ate in the apartment for a few nights and had no problems cooking a decent meal as the apartments have a microwave, cooker and oven. Our apartment overlooked the pool on the ground floor and on first arrival we were slightly apprehensive about how noisy it might be but the pool does not open till 10am when everyone is up and about. The pool bar was basic and served sandwiches, crisps, ice creams, beers, drinks etc. We travelled with my 5 month old daughter and she was adequately provided for with a travel cot and high chair at no extra cost. The views are spectacular from the apartment. The staff on reception were fantastic and could not have been more helpful. Florence in particular was a star.

On the downside The Bel Air is situated on a very steep hill about ½ mile from Torviscas centre. It’s a lovely walk down but I would recommend a taxi at all times on the way back up. The other major drawback is that the apartments at the Bel Air are situated on higher levels from reception and there is NO lift. This was extremely difficult with cases and a pushchair. We had to carry the pushchair up and down several flights of stairs every day. The same would apply to shopping if you were eating in. This was the only real difficulty we had but at least it keeps you fit.
