Oh are we lucky?
We enjoyed a fabulous week in January - cold and clear, and perfect for enjoying the wonderful walks around Rutland Water.
Our lodge was very comfortable, warm and welcoming when we came "home" from our excursions.
We used the well-equipped gym but apart from that we have no experience of using any other of the facilities at Barnsdale because we found so many good pubs in the area! No-one bothered us or tried to sell us anything. In fact, apart from the check-in and check-out procedures, we hardly saw a soul.
We visited Stamford, Oakham and several of the smaller and very pretty villages.
To sum up - one of the most peaceful timeshare resorts we have ever stayed in and one we want to return to - there are lots of things we still want to do!
