Stables Cottage is an 18th century country cottage set in the heart of rural Ayrshire. It is a well equipped holiday cottage and offers visitors a high standard of self catering holiday accommodation.

Stables Cottage is located in the hamlet of Crosshands near Mauchline, surrounded by the hills and fields of the Ayrshire farmlands. The towns of Kilmarnock, Ayr and Irvine are close at hand and a drive of less than forty minutes takes you to Scotland's biggest city, Glasgow, famous for its architecture and culture. There's also easy access to the main tourist routes through Ayrshire.

The main bedroom is a spacious family room with a double bed, a full size single bed and ample wardrobe space. The second bedroom includes two full size single beds and hanging space for clothes. There is a bright, modern kitchen with a full range of facilities including a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and generous cupboard space. Crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment is also provided. The dining area comfortably seats four people and the lounge is a relaxing area complete with gas fire, tv, VCR and radio/CD player. A modern double bed settee provides additional sleeping facilities. The property also has a lovely conservatory, a large room with comfortable chairs which forms an integral part of the accommodation. The bathroom/toilet includes a bath and an electric shower. A socket for electric razors is provided. Gas central heating provides the hot water. A damage surety deposit of £50 is required at this property.
Outside areas include decking and a garden, the decking provides a spacious area, complete with large table and chairs. A wide grassed area is also available. There is a parking area at the front of the house for two cars.

Stables Cottage is situated at Crosshands, near Mauchline, Scotland. Crosshands is on the main A76 trunk road which runs between Dumfries and Kilmarnock. It is approximately seven miles south of Kilmarnock and about two miles north of the town of Mauchline. At the crossroads at Crosshands, turn west towards Tarbolton on the B744. Stables Cottage is the second house on the left, less than 25 metres from the junction.
