There is plenty of scope for fishing on fast flowing rivers and hill lochs, stalking and shooting arrangements can be made, there are varied watersports on Little Loch Shin, bikes can be hired and within a day’s run there is hill walking on the most northerly Munros, rock climbing, and pot holing below More Assynt. Golf courses are within easy reach at Bonar Bridge, Dornoch, Golspie, Brora and Tain, and there is the Sutherland Swimming Pool Complex and Fitness Suite at Golspie.Lairg means 'the meeting of roads' which makes it an ideal location for your holiday in the highlands as you can reach the North, West and East coasts in less than one hours drive (an hour and a half to John O’Groats).
Shin Cottage is ideally situated on the shore of Loch Shin with stunning views and forest walks only minutes away and with fishing rights included with the property.

We are approximately 5 hours drive north of Glasgow and Edinburgh or 1 ½ hours north of Inverness.
Head north on the A9 from Inverness, turning off to Bonar Bridge just after Tain. Follow the road to Bonar Bridge then head for Lairg.
