Reilles & Reilles Gite is a farmhouse set in five acres of orchards and meadows in the south west of France.
The Departement of the Tarn et Garonne is richly endowed with many mediaeval (some fortified) towns and villages, many of which are perched high up, overlooking beautiful scenery. Honor de Cos is situated on the edge of a long west/east escarpment which shows two distinctly different types of terrain. Reilles Gite is approximately 4kms from the village and set just over the brow of a hill along a no through road set back about 2kms from the cliff edge.
The area has a good share of lakes and river beaches with life guards, and with three rivers there is a choice of spots for canoeing and rapids trips. There are so many things to see and do, but amongst the many, a couple of musts - about 20km to the west is Moissac with its world famous cathedral cloisters and to the east, about 45 minutes, are the Aveyron Gorges.
Reilles has three double bedrooms, two with double beds and the third with twin beds, which can either be pushed together to make one big double bed or stacked as bunk beds to make room for an extra child's bed or cot, as required. One of the rooms is on a mezzanine, which overlooks the salon, and is next to the bathroom/toilet. The other two rooms, which are downstairs have a toilet/washroom next to them. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker and gas hob, fully automatic washing machine, large fridge/freezer. In the salon there is a television with VCR. Reilles can accommodate six guests.
Reilles Gite is a studio apartment attached to the side of the house, with a terrace that is completely private and secluded. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven with gas hob, a television and dvd player. There is normally at least one double sofa bed with another sofa, which may make into a single bed, if necessary. The apartment is ideally suited for couples with space for a child, if necessary. The bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine, where there is a double bed and also a bathroom with shower, hip bath, bidet and toilet. This one bedroom apartment can accommodate two guests plus a child, if necessary.
On site is an 8 metre diameter outdoor swimming pool, available summer only, in a separate fenced garden- The pool is 1.20m deep around the perimeter and in the middle is 1.50m at the deepest part. An ideal depth for playing games for both adults and children. The terrace which is 5m x 10m, enjoys sunshine all day long and has peaceful views over the rolling countryside. The terrace immediately overlooks the meadow, chestnut woods and fruit orchard, from which you can pick your own dessert at certain times of the year, but please check with the owners first. Also from the terrace is a door into a large barn, where there is ping pong, darts, table football and various children's and toddler toys.
