Property Location: Les Lauriers in France is located on the edge of a peaceful village, nestling amongst the Bordeaux vineyards.
Distance from town: 1km to the nearest village, with butcher, baker and grocer. 15kms to Blaye with a full range of shops, restaurants and a fantastic market.
Area activities: Perfect for relaxing in the sun, lounging by the swimming pool and chilling out. There are many great places to visit nearby, including the Atlantic coast and Cognac. This lovely property makes an excellent base for discovering the wines of Bordeaux, including the Medoc and St Emillion and touring the south west of France.
Style of property: Les Lauriers in France is part of a 19th century farmhouse, originally built for a winemaker, now renovated to include two gites. This gite will accommodate up to eight guests plus two infants. The property may be rented in conjunction with Les Magnolias, the other gite at Le Pas des Aigles, which will also accommodate up to eight guests plus two infants.
Furnishings & decorations: The property is comfortably furnished with all mod. cons., and is suitable for small children.
Outlook & views: The farmhouse faces south over the large garden with a lovely shared outdoor swimming pool.
Principle rooms: The ground floor comprises of a fully equipped kitchen/diner with ornate stone fireplace, a sitting room and one double bedroom. The kitchen/diner has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and a table to seat eight. The sitting room has armchairs and a sofa. There is also a double bedroom. On the first floor is one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. The double bedroom has an ensuite shower room, as does one of the twin bedrooms, there is also a separate shower room.
Les Lauriers is set in three acres of grounds, completely enclosed and safe for children. The terrace faces south and overlooks the shared pool, that is fenced and alarmed for total peace of mind. It is a 12mx6m shaped pool with sun loungers, deck chairs, parasols and a poolside playpen for babies. The gardens includes lawns, a shaded eating area and plenty of room for parking. A BBQ and outdoor furniture is provided. For the younger guests, there are swings, slides, a climbing frame and a table tennis table. A chalet Wendy House is full of under 5’s garden toys. There is also free use of the village tennis court, please bring own equipment.
