Le Tilleul is one of three luxurious carbon neutral gites at Le Cygnes, in the heart of Poitou-Charentes, on the lovely west coast of France. This picturesque region has 2,250 hours of sunshine per year, making it the second sunniest region in France.
Just a ten minute drive away you will find supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, bakeries, cafes and restaurants, as well as weekly markets selling wholesome local produce in the main squares.
The region offers many attractions and the landscape is rich in beauty and colour, from the dazzling, yellow sunflower fields against an endless blue sky to the wild Atlantic coastline bordered by sand dunes and pine forests.
Le Tilleul in the village of Le Breuil Coiffaud is ideally located in south Deux-Sèvres, on the doorstep of the Vienne, Charente and Charente-Maritime regions of Poitou-Charentes, making this a wonderful touring base.
Le Tilleul in France is a stylishly converted pigsty, with three bedrooms to accommodate up to eight guests with a lovely mezzanine. Equipped with a large wood burner and heated bedrooms, this property is perfect for renting in the winter months. Le Tilleul has a living room with satellite television, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and shower room with toilet.
The gite has a fabulous outside dining area, set in a secluded courtyard garden with lovely views west of the surrounding fields and beautiful sunsets.
Please bring your own bed linen and towels. However, should you wish the owner to provide these for you, they are available at the following rates: 10 euros per single set, per week and 20 euros per double set, per week. Bath and hand towels available upon request at 10 euros per set, per week.
On site there is a beautiful 10 x 5 metre salt water terraced swimming pool with sunloungers, parasols and cabana. The pool is fenced and has an AFNOR approved pool alarm for the security of you and your family. This lovely property is set in over five acres of gardens and pasture overlooking a beautiful village and 15th century castle. There is also a fully equipped games room with professional table tennis table, table football, darts board and numerous board games available for guests use.
