La Cabane is ideally suited for a relaxing holiday in the Dordogne region and is only fifteen minutes from the historic market town of Sainte Foy La Grande with a good selection of shops and fine restaurants. For the more active there are beautiful walks and canoeing is available on the river Dordogne. Château Vigier to the south of Sainte Foy offers excellent golf.

The 200 year old Périgordian Cottage has been sympathetically restored by local craftsmen to retain the original character of the farmhouse, including a large open fireplace and beamed ceilings.
