The lovely holiday cottages, Kenmare River Cottages are magnificently situated on the beautiful Kenmare River and Lehid Harbour at Tuosist on the Beara Peninsula, twelve miles south of Kenmare town. Built on the side of a low hill, backed by the lofty McGillicuddy Reeks and the Caha Mountains, the cottages have panoramic views of Kenmare River, Lehid Harbour and the mountains. Sub tropical plants, flora and fauna flourish in the open as the warm waters of the Gulf Stream lap along the shore.
Tuosist has the most spectacular scenery to be found anywhere in Ireland, with views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Kenmare Bay. Across from the Ring of Kerry and the majestic mountain range of the Magillicuddy Reeks. Tuosist and Lauragh offer tropical gardens and woodlands, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, mountain views, fishing, diving, seal watching and walking.
The superior holiday cottages, Kenmare River Holiday Cottages in Co. Kerry, Ireland are divided into two groups.
Group A consists of four three bedroom cottages, sleeping six people and overlooking Kenmare River. The cottages comprise of one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. A spacious open-plan living room/dining room features an open fireplace. There is a sliding door from the living room to a patio area. Fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with shower, immersion water heater and hot press. Please note, small dogs are welcome in only some of the "A" group houses, they must be pre-booked and kept under control at all times. A fee of €25 per pet is payable on departure. Heating and electricity are meter read and payable on departure to the onsite supervisor. A cleaning charge of €32 should also be paid on departure.
Group B consists of three four bedroom bungalows, sleeping eight people. Bedrooms comprise of two double rooms and two twin rooms. Open plan spacious living room/dining room with fireplace. Heating and electricity are meter read and payable on departure to the onsite supervisor. A cleaning charge of €37.50 should also be paid on departure.
All cottages are carpeted throughout and have electric central heating and solid fuel heating. All the cottages have fully fitted kitchens complete with fridge, deep freezer, cooker, iron, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer, delph and cutlery. All bedrooms are on the ground floor with fitted wardrobes, vanity units and wash hand basin. Also supplied is all bed linen, pillows, blankets and bedspreads. We regret no pets are allowed in the "B" group houses.
