The charming gites at Ferme du Chalet in Berville sur Mer, France are located just six miles from Honfleur. Berville sur Mer La Ferme du Chalet is a charming group of four person and six person thatched cottages converted from a 17th Century stable. The properties are easily accessed from the Channel Ports, Le Havre 25 minutes away, Caen 1 hour, Dieppe 75 minutes, Calais 2.5 hours and Boulogne 2 hours.
Set in two hectares, the gites offer a wonderful tranquil holiday destination. The cottages are only 500 metres from the River Seine. The beautiful historic port of Honfleur with its picturesque Saturday market is ten minutes away by car or you can walk along the riverbank, which offers spectacular views of the Pont de Normandie. On days out you are well placed to explore the sights of Normandy and Brittany, including the landing beaches and the museum at Arromanches. You can also explore the many beautiful beaches of the area.
Berville sur Mer is part of the Natural Park of Brotonne, which includes the Forest of Brotonne. There are many cycle paths, picnic areas and hiking paths on both sides of the River Seine. Ferme du Chalet makes an excellent base from which to explore this lovely part of Normandy.

The standard gites to sleep four include a living area with double sofa bed, a well equipped kitchen area with two electric hotplates and a fridge. The bedroom has a double bed, there is also a bathroom with a shower. Electric heaters are fixed to the wall in each room.
Also available are gites to sleep four guests, similar to the four person gite, with extras including a washing machine, microwave, coffee maker and a selection of English language books. The living area has a double sofa bed. The well equipped kitchen area has two electric hobs and fridge. The upstairs has a double bed, plus an extra chair/bed. The full bathroom has a shower and electric heaters are fixed to the wall in each room.

Ferme du Chalet is situated in Berville sur Mer in France. From Caen, Cherbourg St Malo and Roscoff take the last exit off the motorway before you cross the Pont de Normandie. (It is very late and the bridge is towering over you as you leave). From these ports you need to head for the Pont de Normandie, but not cross it. From Caen take the A13 to A29 to Pont de Normandie. From Cherbourg take the N13 to Caen. Ring road to A13 to A29 to Pont de Normandie. From St Malo take the D4 to Dol de Bretagne. N176 to N175 to A84 motorway. Then N175 to Caen. Ring road to A13 to A29 to Pont de Normandie. From Roscoff take the D58 to N12 to N176 then same as from St Malo. Further details available from property owner upon confirmation of booking.
