Maspalomas is much quieter than its vibrant neighbour, Playa del Inglés, 2 kilometres away and has a myriad of low-rise, whitewashed buildings. Around the area known as Oasis Maspalomas lie the large, luxury hotels, which extend along the promenade as far as Playa de Meloneras, an exclusive developing area with a 5-star hotel. Regular buses run between Playa del Ingles and Oasis Maspalomas as well as various other points along the coast including Puerto Rico, Puerto de Mogan and Las Palmas. There are numerous, cheap metered taxis and hire cars are readily available. Maspalomas beach is a gently sloping beach of fine golden sand that runs unbroken from Faro to Playa del Ingles. It is backed by a magnificent expanse of Sahara-like dunes that extend 1km inland. Oasis Maspalomas has a variety of cafes and restaurants serving both local Spanish food as well as international cuisine. If you want to try some authentic Canarian fare, the word 'tipico' suggests that the restaurant serves local dishes. Oasis Maspalomas has a variety of local shops and small boutiques, although the shopping centres around neighbouring Playa del Ingles offer a more comprehensive shopping experience. Alternatively, head up to the island's capital, Las Palmas, which is renowned for its excellent shopping malls and traditional stores.
Club Tisaya Golf overlooks the golf course at Maspalomas in Southern Gran Canaria. For those seeking energetic pastimes there is a sports centre next to Club Tisaya Golf, with a gymnasium, paddle tennis, squash and tennis courts. In Maspalomas there is an aquapark and go-kart track and there are lively nightspots in Playa del Ingles. The bungalows are equipped with a stereo, video, satellite television and telephone.
Units comprise of 1 bedroom sleeping 4 with double bed and double sofa bed with full kitchens which include dishwasher and microwave oven. All have telephone, music centre,television with satellite and video recorder. All have full bathrooms. No pets are allowed. Cleaning is four times a week towels changed twice a week and bed linen changed once a week. Cots are available for babies and young children. There is a charge for sports facilities. 24 hour reception. Laundry service is available as is car hire rental. The Sporting Club may be used by owners and guests. Babysitting can be arranged. Refundable deposit payable by cash only as credit cards are not accepted.

BY AIR: Nearest airport Gando - Gran Canaria 33kms.BY ROAD: From the airport follow the signs for the south (sur) until you come to the Maspalomas junction. Turn off and when you come to the T junction turn right and carry on to the roundabout, go right round the roundabout and back up the dual carriageway. Turn of here at the next right and then left towards the golf course. The resort is along here on the right hand side.
