Property Location: Wonderfully positioned in quiet fields, with views of Snowdon and the sea, yet only a few minutes from Caernarfon town. Great walks from the cottage itself, and also a great touring centre for the beaches and mountains of Snowdonia. Caernarfon town is a World Heritage Site, and the most Welsh speaking town in the world, although people can speak English too! A warm welcome awaits you.
Distance from town: One mile from village, 3 miles from Caernarfon town with its great choice of restaurants and inns & Saturday & Monday market.
Area activities: Caernarfon is on the picturesque Menai Straits: sightseeing boat trips, fishing, crabbing, sailing etc. Horse riding & bird watching on the Foryd.Bikes for hire.Caernarfon is a great centre for touring both beaches and mountains.
Style of property: Bryn Beddau Cottage is a stone built former stable converted into a cottage.
Furnishings & decorations: It has achieved the 4 Dragon award from the Wales Tourist Board.
Outlook & views: The cottage is quietly positioned down a long drive from the lane and has its own patio on the seaward side of the house, as well as a seating area for sunlit breakfasts outside the kitchen door. The field is good for ball games or a gentle stroll.
Principle rooms: The kitchen is fully fitteds. The spacious light lounge (18ft x 18ft) has a beamed ceiling and a new sofa, also a futon sofa and other chairs. There is a single bed in the lounge, under the gallery. The pine staircase leads to the lovely Oriel bedroom. The gallery has a double bed and chest of drawers. From the gallery bedroom there are two steps to the twin bedded room, which also has a cot. The bathroom has a semi-sunken bath, wash basin and toilet. Tall people beware the characterful beams! Bed linen is for hire, or you are welcome to bring your own.Kitchen towels are provided but you need to bring your own personal towels. (Towels are available for overseas visitors coming by air.)
Outside living areas: Outside on the seaward side of the house, there is a patio for the use of the cottage, with a barbecue, and large patio table and chairs. On the yard side of the house, there is seating to enjoy the morning sun and many flowers in tubs and baskets in season. The main farmhouse is next door to the cottage.

Take the A487 from Caernarfon towards Porthmadog, to the village of Bontnewydd (2 miles), then take the first right after the 17th century pub, Newborough Arms (this turning is just before you reach a bus stop on the right hand side of the road). Go up this pretty lane for 1 mile exactly, and the farm gate is on the right. Further details available from property owner upon confirmation.
