Barley Cove is a European designated Special Area of Conservation and is located between the towns of Goleen and Crookhaven in West Cork.

The beaches of Galley Cove and Cockle Beach are close by, which are ideal for water sporting activities. There are many other activities available nearby including fishing, diving, walking, cycling, golf, horse riding and sailing.

The closest ferry port is Cork, which is serviced by many of the larger ferry operators in Europe. From Goleen follow the signs for Crookhaven and Barley Cove, R591, for approximately four miles.
