The Alba Sporting Hotel Green Rovere is situated in central Italy and is located in Abruzzo, 100km from Rome, in a beautiful ski area with a variety of runs to choose from close to the Hotel. Nearby you can find bars, restaurants and a variety of shops. For the summer visitors there are many activities to choose from including mountain biking, trekking and a nearby golf course, currently under construction. Also, at Avezzano City, 20kms away, you can find a very beautiful open air swimming pool and go-cart track.
The Hotel makes an ideal base from which to explore this stunning area of Italy including L’Aquila, Grotte di Stiffe, Alba Fucens, Castel of Celano and the Gran Sasso, the highest of the Appeninans Mountains. From Rovere it is also possible to do many day trips to Rome, Pescara City on the Adriatic Sea, Gran Sasso Mountain, L’Aquila City and Naples.
There are 49 rooms at the three star Alba Sporting Hotel Green Rovere in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The rooms are comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated and come equipped with a partial kitchen, fridge, television, central heating and linen and towels provided. The queen size bed is separated from the sleeper couch for two people with a wooden screen.
On site is a fully equipped gym, solarium, Finnish sauna, Turkish Bath, relaxation corner, hot tub and live entertainment in the winter season.
There is a deposit to pay on arrival of 200€ which is refundable on departure once the unit has been checked. Utility fee of 50€ per week charged for bed linen, electricity, water etc. This can be paid on a credit card. There is a shuttle to and from the ski lifts during the winter months at an extra cost. The Alba Sporting Hotel Green Rovere is situated in a small Medieval Borgo (village) in the L’Aquila Province of the Abruzzo region of central Italy. The Hotel is 100km from Rome Airport, 100km from Pescara Airport, 300km from Naples Airport and 400km from Florence Airport.
By car
You follow the route A25 Roma/Pescara which takes you right through to Celano. Exit Aielli Celano you will find the indications/sign to Rovere/Alto piano delle Rocche which brings you to Rovere. The order is as follows Celano, Ovindoli, Rovere, Rocca di mezzo. We are situated between Ovindoli and Rocca di Mezzo, you can't miss the Hotel as we are the only hotel in Rovere. By car we are more or less an hour from Rome.
By train
From the Rome station, you need to take the train that does the route Roma-Avezzano. At Avezzano station there is a pulman/autobus ARPA that does Rovere/Altopiano delle Rocche that brings you right to the hotel - there is one every 2 hours.
From the station Roma Tiburtina there is a pulman/autobus that goes to Aquila. At the Aquila terminal there is another pulman/autobus that comes directly to Rovere. The last pulman/autobus departs at 19h30 in the evening, otherise there is one very hour during the day.
