Alabaster Apartment at Villa Le Ginepraie in Italy is located between S. Gimignano and Volterra in beautiful Tuscany. Leaving the Villa on foot, you can take various walks on the flat along shaded country roads, or if you want something a bit more strenuous, there are plenty hill walking routes of varying length and difficulty. In every case, the countryside that you come across is full of surprises: from streams with tiny waterfalls to delightful little lakes. You can also book guided tours of the countryside or of Tuscany's art cities.
Given that the Villa is situated in a nature reserve, you may come across hares, wild boars, hawks, deer and the friendly fox that often comes to dinner under the owners' veranda.
Less than four miles away from the Villa there is a riding school where you can book riding lessons and go trekking in the beautiful countryside. There are also tennis courts just over seven miles away.
You can also book to visit various wine cellars and farms in the area, which are famous for their high quality products, which range from pecorino cheese to extra virgin olive oil.
Alabaster Apartment at Villa Le Ginepraie in Tuscany, Italy is part of a lovely 17th century Tuscan farmhouse surrounded by beautiful countryside. Like the stone that is quarried and worked in this area, the spacious Alabaster Apartment has a warm creamy white colour. It is on the ground floor with two entrances: one under the shared loggia and the other outside the farmhouse.
The beautiful barrel ceiling made of volterrane, a traditional type of terracotta tiles, is a key feature of this apartment, with arches that separate the kitchen/sitting room area from the dining room and bedroom, with walk-in cupboards, while the divan in front of the fireplace can be converted into a comfortable double bed. The bathroom has a shower and is roomy and windowed like the others.
The private outdoor swimming pool is perfect for those who want to relax and sunbathe, with plenty of room for children to play.
The apartment adjoins the Green Room, which has its own bathroom and independent access.

Alabaster Apartment is situated at Villa Le Ginepraie in Italy. From the A1 motorway: take the Firenze Certosa exit and follow signs to Siena. Take the Colle Val d’Elsa Nord exit and follow signs to Volterra. At km 51 of the SS68 high road, turn right towards Castelfiorentino Gambassi. Continue for 1.5km and then turn left towards Pignano. Continue for 450m and then turn into a narrow road on the right.
From the A12 Motorway: take the Pisa Centro exit and continue on the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno road in the direction of Firenze. Exit at Pontedera and drive for 45km in the direction of Volterra. Turn left at the junction with the SS68 high road and continue towards Siena Colle Val d’Elsa. Continue for 12km and then turn left towards Castelfiorentino Gambassi. Continue for 1.5km and then turn left towards Pignano. Continue for 450m and then turn into a narrow road on the right. Further details available from property owner upon confirmation of booking.
